Dear Anon,
This can be a subjective issue:
Do we consider symbolism or mass?
1. Under Symbolism, 6 coins represent Big metal or the largest metal element available.
2. If one consider `mass', as in your 5 inch high statute, it does certainly have mass.
If you already have such an object, then, avoid adding the 6 coins.
3. "Strange" as it is, Small metal is represented by the number 7. Thus 7 coins represent Small metal.
Here, one will notice that it does not matter if there are less coins: 1 coin fewer for `Big Metal' as compared to `Small metal'.
4. Usually, the problem faced is to cure or neutralise with 6 coins and seldom if ever,we use the 7 coins which is less effective.
5. Thus the traditional approach is to use only 6 coins.
If now, you mentioned that you have a 5 inch copper statue and `question' whether it can subsitute for the 6 coins, you have to personally decide for yourself as this is not tradtional practise.
If I am in your shoes, I will personally place the 6 coins and keep my 5inch copper statute as the 6 coins is `proven'. This new `cure' is not.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
