Dear Anon,
1. In fact, all scenery paintings have a touch of Yin and Yang.
2. In my opinion, I have not heard that it should only be displayed at the center or at the South West particulary the center.
Thus, I personally believe that there is no `fixed' locations other than commonsense would say it it should not be placed in the toilet or kitchen.
If one has a large painting, it would be best to hang it on a larger wall where it does not cover the entire wall, but sits there nicely.
