Dear Rasika,
1. It is best to follow the `method' provided (totally) from a source and
not mix e.g. what one reads from a book and `mix' the methods used in other
book or website.
2. For example, in this website, the method used is to follow step-by-step
instructions under: https://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm or use the free
computerised Eight House report. In this website, you get a graphical
diagram showing all the eight kua directions and each person's intangible
force at e.g. North, South, East, West, NE, NW, SE, SW.
Based on this website, you should find the centrepoint of the house and use
an ordinary compass. Instructions are at
https://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm
3. It is never wise to read up half a book, and then follow instructions
from another book or site. If traditional FS methods are followed, and if
one follows the instructions FULLY in a book or website, you should get the
same result.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Subject: Kua number to find auspicious direction

> When we use a kua number to find an auspicious direction (or sheng ch'i).
Then for putting it in practice do we use the compass or do we use the bagua
to locate the direction. Example for kua number 1 the best direction is
south east. Now do we go by the compass or do we locate the number 4 from
the bagua.
