Dear Suzanne,
Under the Eight House theory, there is really nothing much one can do especially if one's bed (rather than bedroom) is at a specific sector.
Ideally it would be nice to have the bed located at one of the 4 good sectors but this is not possible for some of us.
There are other considerations and most importantly:
1. Shapes and Forms.
The placement of the bed should conform to the above. Especially where the bed should (where possible) be placed against a wall and opposite of the bedroom door.
There are other considerations under Shapes and Forms.
2. Flying Star analysis.
If one's concern is e.g. the `spook' sector at the bedroom; it would be good to try to check that the specific sector is balanced. If not, usually a cure is used here.
3. Look out for external threats e.g. coming into the bedroom. Such as a pointed neighbour's roof or a lone lamp post slicing thru the windows.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
